TOOTH WHITENING Introduction FAQs

There are several companies currently expounding the virtues of their particular system for whitening teeth.

At Advance Whitening, we use a same day system, but also suggest that patients use an at home (mouth guard) system, to top up and achieve the best result possible. Whitening gel is provided for three weeks of home use.

LASER WHITENING : LUMA ARCH

PROTECTING GUMS FROM GEL

Laser Teeth Whitening
Using the latest technology to get your teeth whiter in one hour or less. Cosmetic laser teeth whitening can give you a healthier, younger and more vibrant smile. Increasing your looks and hopefully your personal confidence.

During this procedure, one lies down in the chair and a protective coating is painted around the gums to act as a barrier to the whitening gel. The whitening gel is then painted on the teeth to be whitened, usually second premolar to second premolar upper and lower arches. A light is then placed over the teeth for fifteen minutes to enhance the whitening process. The gel is then washed away the process repeated twice more.

Care is required to make sure that all the areas of the gum are covered with a white barrier during this procedure.

To get the best results we recommend using a take-home kit to use on top of the laser whitening.

At Home Whitening
An impression is taken of the upper and lower arches, and small gum shields which cover the teeth to be whitened are made. Whitening gel is then placed in the trays on the part which will touch the front surfaces of the teeth to be bleached, these trays are worn for two hours each evening.

Be patient, this takes at least two weeks to start working. You must persevere, it will lighten them. The longer you do this, the better.

This is currently the UK's most popular cosmetic dental treatment. Teeth can be stained, or lose their lustre, due to many things: coffee, tea, red wine, tobacco to name but a few. If your teeth look a little lifeless or are stained then tooth whitening can restore a natural, bright white smile through a wide range of teeth whitening treatments to fit all budgets: -Power whitening is a chairside treatment that our Leeds dentists will perform and which leads to instant results. Tooth whitening bleaches teeth using peroxide; safely removing stubborn stains and visibly improving the colouration of your teeth. Our leeds dentists will use a specially moulded tray to make sure that the bleaching process is as effective, and safe as possible. This personalised tray can then be reused should you require any further treatments in the future. -Your dentist can also provide home whitening kits. A personalised tray is made for you, which you then use at home with a bleaching agent. Results are typically seen in 2 weeks. The affects of tooth whitening can last for up to 3 years, and offer an affordable way to instantly change your smile for the better!
