These are thin shells of porcelain, which
are bonded onto the front of the teeth. A
bit like a false fingernail. The teeth are
usually lightly prepared (ie; a small amount
is taken off the front surface and off the
length to accommodate the new porcelain of
the veneer. Veneers are used to cover unsightly
stained fillings, stained teeth, crooked teeth,
mis-shaped teeth. They are a very conservative
means of making a smile beautiful.
Immediate Orthodontics
Veneers can take away the need for orthodontic
(braces) treatment, for patients who do not
want the lengthy treatment time or unsightly
nature of braces. By placing veneers on your
front teeth, quite crooked and mis-shaped
teeth can be made to look beautiful and even.
Dental Facelifts - looking years younger
You do not need to undergo painful surgery
to remove wrinkles from around the upper lip
area. Dr Haworth can reduce the wrinkles from
around the mouth, by adding to the tooth height
and size but all the time maintaining a natural
appearance.
A more youthful appearance
By adding to the length and by building
out the upper portion of the teeth with a
finernail thin veneer, the facial area above
the tooth is pushed out. This results in the
wrinkled area above the veneer being smoothed
out. Longer teeth look more youthful, worn
teeth giving a more aged look.
