Q:
I am extremely nervous of dental
treatment, will I cope?
A: If you can make
it to sit in the dental chair, we will
relax you to such an extent, that the
dental procedure is almost pleasurable.
Many patients do not remember the treatment
they have had done.
Q: What if I gag
and choke a lot during treatment?
A: Sedation removes
the gag reflex, and enables patients
who suffer from this to have dental
treatment. No more choking and having
a general feeling that you cannot breathe.

Q: I don't go numb with
injections, what about this?
A: With the help of sedation
you will, don't worry.
Q: How will I feel for
the rest of the day?
A: You may feel very groggy.
You must not drive, handle any machinery or
do anything that may injure yourself or, for
that matter, anyone else. Relax, take it easy
and let the person who attended with you look
after you.
Q: Do I need someone to
attend with me?
A: Yes, you will need to
be escorted by someone. If you attend alone,
we will NOT carry out your treatment
for you under sedation.
Q: Can you give me more
information?
A: Please read our Phobic
Patients section. |
